While imprisoned here against my will, of absolutely no benefit to my people while galactic warfare ensues, it seems my talents are going wasted. That the Admiral of your fleet claims to be doing this for reasons of ethical correction fits somewhere between amusing and tragic... My people and their allies find themselves locked in conflict against a threat of historic magnitude, yet this very ship, allegedly capable of transdimensional abduction, does nothing to intervene.

How conveniently ambiguous.

Nevertheless, if I must remain in captivity, I would welcome the opportunity to at least exercise my mental faculties. Astral cartography would be particularly desirable. Mapping our present location would, for instance, enable me to know how far we are from the nearest habitable colony.

I am particularly interested in those with knowledge of:

Omni-tool applications.
Mass effect field manipulation.
Mass relays.
Element zero.
Medi-gel.
Biotics.

Must I assume your attempts to retrieve useful technology met with failure?

[Oh god don't even remind him]

Everything from the port got left behind, yeah.

Working my way in with a few people who have working labs, though.

[... Speaking of, he's pretty sure he promised someone a particle accelerator before the port happened...]

[He'll be sticking to video on his end, if just because he loves the sound of his own voice.

And more people should be subject to the beauty that is his face.]

I've spoken to two people, so far. One about the general lab, and another about one they have in their room. I'll let you know which is better, once I get peeks at them.

[He just sort of smirks] Why study what's already wandering around when you can build something better? [Engineering totally trumps biology, he will argue this to the ends of the universe and back]

Completely team engineering over here.

[He arches his eyebrows, curiously] So, what do I have to do to get an explanation of omni-tools?

[He's halfway chewing on his tongue in thought, just thinking for a few moments before... ah, screw it. He's reaching for the bottom of his shirt, pulling it up to show off the glowing circle of the arc reactor sitting in his chest]

Self-sustained energy source. It could power something as big as this ship for centuries before running dry. [And down goes the shirt] This particular design stays with me, but I can get you a modified one to play with, once I get into a lab.

Chest. [He just sort of grins and taps his fingers against the arc reactor where its dully glowing through his shirt] That'd be a chest or torso for humans.

And that part's kind of a secret. Pretty damn useful, though.

[He's listening intently, asking for clarifications on combinations of words he can't figure out based on how they're used in the sentence, the basic roots of them. It's no doubt frustrating, but Tony's smart, and he's used to hearing about systems beyond his time, by now.

So long as he can tie things back to tools of his time? He can kind of imagine it. Or at least begin to.]

It's a good point. What could someone with a brain do with this ship?

I suppose it depends on how much is the ship and how much is the Admiral himself.

The "transdimensional abduction," for example. We don't know if it's a mechanism on the ship or a power the Admiral has personally. If it's him, taking the ship wouldn't help.

You won't control the Admiral on his own territory. He has to be eliminated.

Yes it does! You could have a lot of fun with it, if you wanted.
