[Some of you may recognise the voice as a slightly modulated version as that which had come from 'Professor Xen'. Except now she's back to being Admiral Xen, complete with the visor, suit and hood. The only facial features visible are two eyes which glow white, as usual.]

An... Interesting, if possibly hallucinatory, experience. And while I, by no means, recommend the virtues of superstition, I am thankful to have at least retained my personality, if not identity - or species.

While I remain sceptical as to the material validity of what happened, if any of you are pursuing a scientific investigation of these experiences, I would be happy to volunteer any relevant answers.

The experience is what is referred to as a "breach flood" - a shared barge experience in which both we and the barge turn into a different habitant and the traditional occupants of such, and isn't uncommon.

Seemingly not, but if true, then much like your own abilities, it demands further study. And if not, then further study, also - if only to develop countermeasures.

In what way do you suggest study be carried out? Obviously, the ideal time to study the phenomenon would be during it, but that doesn't seem to exist as an option, things being as they are.

Usually, there are at least some of us who are unaffected. The magnitude of such events is of secondary consideration to discovering what triggers them.

To my understanding, breaches and ports are both based on the location of the ship. When it moves to close to a particular dimension, the ship takes on qualities of something that happens in that dimension. Why it picks what it picks, I don't know.

Perhaps... But even if this were so, being able to render ourselves some form of detection may allow us to map whatever transdimensional vortices may exist, if not give early warning.

That's possible. Additionally, I think an important part of breaches is how the vortex is entered, not that it's entered at all. I've travelled to other dimensions and not become a part of them. THe same thing can be found in entering a port versus being thrown overboard and becoming a part of that port.

Such power must be carefully watched.

And protected against... Clearly, whatever force guides this ship has only severely limited shielding in place - and sometimes none, at all. If we could understand how it functioned, then at least some rudimentary work could be started on one or more devices we can seek shelter by. Or, ideally, miniaturised, portable versions.

If you are what you claim to be, Castiel, then surely, having power of your own open to such levels of corruption and abuse, without warning... You must see how ridiculously irresponsible this is of your employer. You could destroy or corrupt entire solar systems - entire timelines, given enough motivation.

Until the Admiral displays intention to do anything more than not protect us from forgetting who we are for three days at a time, I see no reason to assume its goals are malicious. I wouldn't want someone to think that just because I was capable of something great, terrible and cruel, I would do it, and I extend the same courtesy to others.
